Who we are
Cannabis culture in the Hudson Valley stretches back hundreds of years. From the hemp grown to equip ships, farms, construction, textiles, paper, and medicine, this plant has been foundational to the development of civilization.
The psychoactive influences of cannabis are carry throughout our culture. It pervades New York’s artistic history. Queens resident, Louis Armstrong is one such example of an enthusiastic cannabis lover, whose musical gifts changed the world of jazz. Consider the Pink House, in upstate New York, where Bob Dylan and the Band created songs heard and performed through to a global reach. Doubtless there were ashtrays with smoldering spliffs in their studio. Not far away, Woodstock concert goers wafted cannabis smoke into the falling rain.
We are lovers of all things cannabis culture, especially as it reflects the richness of New York State.
This site is intended to combine our passion for cannabis, and the influence it has had, and continues to have, on New York’s Hudson Valley. Now that it’s legal, we can be honest and open about our enthusiasm for this plant, the people who use it, and the people who grow it and transform it into viable mediums for the cannabis aficionado.
